Arctic Observatory Network data - use guidelines

Our data are freely available to the public, however, we ask that you agree to the following guidlines and fill out the form below:

  • Acceptable use.  Data will be used for academic, research, educational, government, recreational, or other not-for-profit professional purposes.

  • Redistribution.  These data are provided for use by you, the data user. Please provide this agreement any metadata with any copies made available to other data users.

  • Citation.  The data user will properly cite the dataset in any publications or in the metadata of any derived data products that were developed using our data. For Imnavait data, please use the following publication for general citation :  Euskirchen et al 2012.  Please contact  Dr. Syndonia  Bret-Harte to discuss details of any collaborations.

  • Acknowledgement.  The data user should acknowledge institutional support and funding awards if these datasets contribute significantly to any publications where the dataset  to its content, e.g. Datasets were provided by the Institute of Arctic Biology, UAF, based upon work supported by the National Science Foundation under grant #1107892.

  • Notification.  The data user will notify the dataset contact when any derivative work or publication based on or derived from the dataset is distributed. The data user will provide us with two reprints of any publications resulting from use of the dataset and will provide copies, or on-line access to, any derived digital products.

  • Disclaimer.  ALL data are made available AS IS.  Substantial efforts are made to ensure the accuracy of processed data and documentation, but these cannot be guaranteed.  Data from the current year is regularly updated,  please use the datestamp of the downloaded file to ensure you have the current version displayed on this website, and read the information the following page, or contact us.

Please note we will NOT make your email address available to anyone.
